It is definitely not the kind of light that Audrey Hepburn is usually lit up in, but at the same time, it’s arguably a much more interesting sight because of it.

The Star Wars prequels must have been demeaning enough, but for some Imperial Stormtroopers, the fall from grace continues apace.

All the way from elite soldiers in the 1970s, to present-day peddlers of very dodgy fashion.

Almost 50 years after The Great Escape, it would seem that Steve McQueen is once again poised for a daring motorcycle ride. Only this time, rather than a well-run prison camp, it’ll be from a decidedly fancy — although no doubt equally efficient — shop in central Tokyo.

May the force, at least to buy books, be with you.

Admittedly it may not quite meet the Quadrophenia quota of mirrors. Or indeed the Mod-based angst of another era. But there is still something suitably moody about this man sat on his scooter. Sullenly staring. In Shinjuku.
