For the man in Japan after a partner with a particularly plastic appearance, there are plenty to pick from, with state of the art silicone sirens the most sought after. Items that are apparently ideal for all different kinds of dalliances and, with the added addition of an idol mask, can conveniently double up as famous friends.

The trouble is, due to their almost preposterous price tags, they are simply beyond the means of many men — a rented rendezvous being the most the majority can ever hope to manage.
However, there are cheaper alternatives, with air idols in particular cleverly combining the female form and a famous face, all at a fraction of the cost.

And, with a range of idols to choose from, a favourite is easy to find.

This Mikie Hara model for example costs a measly 4,980 yen, yet its likeness to the young model is amazing — mesmerising even.

In fact, given the right conditions, it can be difficult to tell them apart, even when they are together. The real Mikie being the one in the bikini. I think.

There's also the option of following Tokyo Times by full feed RSS, and now Twitter too.
