Tokyo is often touted as a titan when it comes to technology, but while some citizens may well manage their manga on a mobile, or even seek out solace with silicone sirens, others have to make do without even that far from modern workhorse, the washing machine.
A situation that unfortunately for some means a trek to what is arguably Tokyo’s least lovely,

laundrette.

Although it is open til late. Which is something.

I suppose.
There's also the option of following Tokyo Times by full feed RSS, and now Twitter too.

Hard to imagine your clothes would come out cleaner from a hole like that!

I’m thinking (hoping) that this is not the norm
hmm… not a bad business plan. just invest in some crappy washer and dryers, a few chairs and old magazines and open shop

Yep! If you look at the properties of the image, then will notice that it’s hosted in stats.wordpress.com… It’s just a visit counter

No problem for me, they’ll come out clean. It’s just old, but the place is clean.
