Despite being a bit daft, the feline-based fad of cat carrying it seems has now been commandeered by canine lovers, making the duty of taking the dog for a walk,

a very different deal indeed.

Tokyo Times is owned and run by me, Lee Chapman, a long-term resident of Tokyo who arrived in 1998 for ‘a year or two’, and, for a myriad of reasons, stayed put.
Japan means many things to many people, but Tokyo Times is how I see it. The places. The people. The day-to-day situations. All of it shot using a Leica, a Nikon and a selection of lenses.
My photographs have appeared in the Guardian and Japan Times, plus numerous magazines and books. Should you wish to use any, or simply ask a question, you can get in touch with me here.

HaHa! A dogs best friend is his man!!
The dog’s owner really cares about his friend.
Great find Lee. My wife liked them a lot too.
Nice sharp image too. Pro contrast filter in Color Efex Pro 3?
Cheers Jason! I did have to run a little to catch up with him, but luckily he had to stop at the traffic lights which allowed me to get my shots.
No, I just used the white neutralizer, although I did also up the contrast a bit. Can’t thank you enough for telling me to invest in Nik Software. Just wish I’d got hold of it a long time ago.
These images are so sweet. The dog is like a little child being carried by his/her loving parent. Love your photos!
Thanks. Yeah, they do seem to have a special bond, although it’s pretty clear who’s the boss!
I wonder if his wife gets jealous…
