A man’s best friend is a poodle in a pushchair

by Lee on 3/16/2010

The over pampering of pets in Japan is pretty much par for the course these days, but looks it seems can sometimes be deceptive, as this friendly old fella explained that both him and his poodle suffered similar leg problems, making a pushchair good for the dog to lounge in, and him to lean on.

A setup that, at least based on appearances, would appear to be perfect.

Cheers! Yeah, they are a good match, and both equally as friendly too.

I still don’t get why people (in Japan) would over-pampered their pets. But, if it makes them happy, then I shouldn’t get bothered.

I love the smile of that old man. It makes me want to call my dad.
Thanks for the photo, Lee.

Japan-shmapan. Pet-pampering is epidemic world-wide. I can tick off five friends (not to mention dozens upon dozens of celebrities, past and present) without even thinking about it who carry their widdle woodums either in handbags or in their arms wherever they go, no matter how far or how short the distance—including dogs weighing in excess of 20-lbs. It’s gag-inspiring, is what it is.

Nice pic, as always, tho’! ;-)

Nowhere near as gag-inspiring as your apparent lack of empathy with your fellow human beings.

That looks like a pretty old dog. Its possible that it has problems walking distances and the man just wanted to take it for a walk like they used to take.

The looks on doggy’s face tells smth. like ‘Ye, don’t ye mess with me, gaijin-san’. >:3

Thanks a lot, and I’m really happy to hear you like the photo.

It was a nice moment as he was a lovely old fella, so I look back on it with good memories myself.
