There’s only one thing more endearing than a big toothy grin, and that’s two toothy grins.

Tokyo Times is owned and run by me, Lee Chapman, a long-term resident of Tokyo who arrived in 1998 for ‘a year or two’, and, for a myriad of reasons, stayed put.
Japan means many things to many people, but Tokyo Times is how I see it. The places. The people. The day-to-day situations. All of it shot using a Leica, a Nikon and a selection of lenses.
My photographs have appeared in the Guardian and Japan Times, plus numerous magazines and books. Should you wish to use any, or simply ask a question, you can get in touch with me here.

Ha, funny!!
John Otway fans and mathematicians might say that’s two things, or at least toothy things.
) Very nice!
DSLR toothy grin detection switched on ?
Cheers! Yes, it’s in a sub-menu of face detection.
Hahaha.. Look alike grin
May I know where this “big Toothy grin “sculpture locate?
It’s so cute !!
Yes, of course. There are a lot of different faces actually. They are outside the Yokohama Museum of Art. Part of the soon to finish Yokohama Triennale 2011 I presume which is well worth a look: http://yokohamatriennale.jp/en/access/index.html
Thank you, Lee!
I will go to look for” them”!!
You are welcome!
Wow, that is so cool! Excellent shot. Where can we see those things?
Sorry, the answer was just in front of my eyes and I didn’t see it ˆˆ
Thanks, and no problem!
What is it made of? It looks like a cute version of the poo monster from Dogma.
Don’t know to be honest Paul. Looked like clay over a frame, but that’s only a guess. Pretty sure there was no poo involved though.
Ha! That made me laugh and feel really self-conscious about my teeth!
Being British I was equally self-conscious!
toothy grin x3
this pic is so cute it made me smile
Glad to hear it!
For a moment I thought you took a trip to SF. These same sculptures can be found in the SOMA district of San Francisco.
Ah, no way. I had no idea there were more of them.
This is one cheerful pic…good to brighten up someone’s day when they’re down!
It is, it certainly brightened my day!
