Tokyo festival emotions

There are several drawbacks to summer in Tokyo. There’s the heat and awful humidity. Not to mention the millions of mosquitos. But, there are at least a few pluses — first and foremost of which are festivals. Boisterous, full-blooded affairs, that as well as being a lot of fun, also allow people to fully express their emotions.

Mosquitoes are everywhere! I had “Donated” too much blood to them. Their bites is horrible!!

    Great shot!
This picture is so interesting and they have different expressions!!

  3. Well, I don’t know about Tokyo but in Kawagoe I got bitten plenty of times this June, basically the moment you were in a rural area or a temple or shrine, the mosquitoes attacked my ankles . :-)

Love the facial expressions, from happy to anguish, just wanted to see a little more of the mikoshi to get some more context of what is going on but I can see how it might get lost in the background anyway.

    • I’m the same. They definitely bite some people more than others though.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was so intent on catching their expressions that I forgot about the bigger picture as it were.

  4. Que bonito es que los pueblos mantengan vivas sus Tradiciones
creo que no deben perderse Saludos a todos
