The shock of seeing a horse’s head in Tokyo

Tokyo offers so many surprises that it’s sometimes tough to be taken aback. But, a salesman, sporting a horse’s head, plainly shocks some people.

  3. Well, Kurosawa had problems finding horses in Japan for his films Kagemusha and Ran, I guess they must be a rare sight even in the countryside.

  5. Not a reference to ‘gift horses’ I suspect, nor to Mr Ed the talking horse (head?), so I can only think that
    it was the only head that was left? At least it has at least got some free advertising on TokyoTimes !

    • Yeah, I have no idea what it’s a reference to, especially as SoftBank use a dog for lots of its advertising. It does grab people’s attention though, so it certainly serves a purpose.
