Oh, and a rather snazzy little jacket too.

Tokyo Times is owned and run by me, Lee Chapman, a long-term resident of Tokyo who arrived in 1998 for ‘a year or two’, and, for a myriad of reasons, stayed put.
Japan means many things to many people, but Tokyo Times is how I see it. The places. The people. The day-to-day situations. All of it shot using a Leica, a Nikon and a selection of lenses.
My photographs have appeared in the Guardian and Japan Times, plus numerous magazines and books. Should you wish to use any, or simply ask a question, you can get in touch with me here.

Now all he needs is a glass of whisky a cigarette and a tape of Dean Martin.
Haha, that’s very true. The way some dogs are treated here, the whiskey aspect at least wouldn’t surprise me…
The dog is really looking the part, but to me it is animal abuse, especially as statistics show that dogs owned by people like these will go the pound and be destroyed the moment they’re not “cute” any more….
There’s certainly a fine line between cuteness and abuse. On the same day I saw a couple wheeling their dog about in a cart. Turns out it had the lost the use of its rear legs. It was touching to see how much they cared, and yet at the same time incredibly sad to see the pitiful existence of the dog’s life…
This dog need shoes too.
Probably next on the shopping list…
